Junior sports day

On Friday, 31 August students in Prep to Year 3 participated in our first Junior Sports Day in 10 years. Students, staff and parents all gathered on the oval at the Primary Campus and witnessed as our littlest members of our school run their hearts out on our ‘mini’ sprint track specially painted up by Uncle Jason Fourmile. Students participated in the 35m dash, baton relay and a football passing relay a range of events that focused on speed, teamwork and co-ordination. Everyone including younger siblings had a great time running, laughing, and cheering on mates. All students were coloured in their house colours of Murujum Yellow, Wannggulay Green, Jilibiri Blue & Gindaja Red and they all cheered their peers on as they attempted to score as many points for the sports house. At the end of the day we had plenty of tired but smiling faces. This is what school is about and we look forward to our Junior Sports Day next year in 2019. As to who won… You’ll just have to wait and see!
